  • ALABAMA – Huggin’ Molly: A ghostly female figure said to roam the streets of Abbeville at night, terrifying children who stay out too late.
  • ALASKA – The Kushtaka: A creature from Tlingit folklore often described as a shape-shifting otter-man, believed to lure people to their deaths.
  • ARIZONA – The Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine: A legendary gold mine hidden in the Superstition Mountains, said to be cursed and guarded by spirits.
  • ARKANSAS – Fouke Monster: Also known as the “Boggy Creek Monster,” this is a Bigfoot-like creature reportedly spotted in the Fouke area.
  • CALIFORNIA – The Tahoe Tessie: A Loch Ness Monster-like creature said to inhabit Lake Tahoe, with occasional sightings reported.
  • COLORADO – The Bigfoot of the Rocky Mountains: Reports of Bigfoot-like creatures in the wilderness.
  • CONNECTICUT – The Black Dog of West Peak: A large black dog is said to appear in the vicinity of West Peak in Meriden, bringing misfortune to those who encounter it.
  • DELAWARE – The historic Fort Delaware, used as a prisoner-of-war camp during the Civil War, is famous for sightings of soldier ghosts, and the sounds of phantom gunshots and screams.
  • FLORIDA – The St. Augustine Lighthouse: Reported hauntings in this historic lighthouse, including the ghost of a former keeper’s daughter.
  • GEORGIA – The Savannah Banshee: A ghostly woman in white said to appear before a death in Savannah.
  • HAWAII – The Mano Kihikihi: A shark god of Molokai, said to protect the island’s inhabitants.
  • IDAHO – The Lemhi Shoshone Portals: Native American legends speak of mysterious portals in Lemhi County, connecting the physical and spiritual realms.
  • ILLINOIS – The Murder Castle: The dark history of H.H. Holmes and his murder hotel in Chicago, could have been responsible for as many as 200 deaths.
  • INDIANA – The Leaping Gray Ghost: A phantom train that appears to leap off a bridge in Avon, an eerie sight reported by many.
    – The Richmond Vampire: Legends of a vampire said to be buried in the mausoleum of W. W. Pool in Richmond’s cemetery.
  • IOWA – The Lady in White of Eldora – A ghostly woman seen near the Iowa Veterans Home.
  • KANSAS – The Hutchinson UFO Incident: In 1971, a series of UFO sightings and cattle mutilations were reported in the Hutchinson area.
  • KENTUCKY – The Pope Lick Monster – A legendary creature said to dwell near the Pope Lick Trestle, attracting thrill-seekers and ghost hunters.
  • LOUISIANA – Rougarou: A Cajun legend of a werewolf-like creature that prowls the swamps and bayous of Louisiana.
  • MAINE – Allagash Waters: In 1976, four friends reported being abducted during a camping trip. One of America’s most notorious cases of alien abductions.
  • MARYLAND – Chesapeake Bay is believed to be home to a sea monster named Chessie, an underwater creature spotted by many people over the years.
  • MASSACHUSETTS – The Salem Witch Trials: This tragic event in 1692 resulted in numerous accusations of witchcraft and the execution of several women.
  • MICHIGAN – The Detroit Nain Rouge: A malevolent, red dwarf spirit said to be a harbinger of doom in Detroit folklore.
  • MINNESOTA – The Kensington Runestone: A disputed stone with runic inscriptions, suggesting a Viking presence in Minnesota long before Columbus.
  • MISSISSIPPI – The Legend of the Singing River: A Native American legend about a river that sings as a tribute to a forbidden love.
  • MISSOURI -The Ghost of Jesse James: Claims of the infamous outlaw’s ghost haunting his old haunts in Missouri.
